Mariam Parker has spent over 16 years in the food and beverage space developing her talents as a culinary expert, integrated marketer, and experience curator. She is an energetic leader with a strategic and innovative approach to marketing ideas as well as developing new opportunities and revenue streams for clients. She takes pride in the relationships she has built over the years as well as bringing people together and fostering connections.
From starting a social media agency focusing on restaurants and bars in the early days of social media marketing to running one of Texas’ most prominent and respected non-profits focused on cultivating innovation throughout Texas’ culinary landscape. She has worked in various aspects of the industry and has worn many hats over the course of her career.
Her work and insight have been shared on Food Network, Rolling Stone, Forbes, Thrillist, Texas Monthly, Texas Restaurant Association, Austin American Statesman, CultureMap, Eater Austin, Austin Chronicle, Austin Woman Magazine, We Are Austin, and at SXSW. She also hosted a radio show on KOOP Austin interviewing chefs and food entrepreneurs about their paths to success.
After spending years living abroad and traveling the world with her parents and friends, she has found a home in Chicago spending her weekends exploring the city’s neighborhoods with friends and family. Her appetite for discovering new restaurants, food products, and culinary experiences has been described as insatiable.
